Art Class: Colored Pencils
10:00 am - 2:00 pm - July 30, 2019
This class will serve as an introduction to colored pencils and watercolor colored pencils using new pastel mat pastel paper. We will use watercolor colored pencil to apply an underpainting of color, then use a water pen brush to go over underpainting to dissolve the wax in the watercolor pencil layer. The drawing is allowed to dry overnight. The drawing is finished with layers of colored pencil applied over the underpainting. In the second half of the class we will use watercolor colored pencils and watercolor graphite pencils to make prints with a small press. This class will run from May – June. Advanced registration is required and there is a limited number of slots for the class, so please call the library - or visit the front desk in person - to sign up. "Bored" Games

Josh the Otter Storytime

Josh the Otter, a nationally recognized drowning prevention and water safety program, will be at the ICL for this Storytime on August 7th! Kids will walk away with a Josh the Otter coloring book, a swim pass to SunUte, and a greater appreciation for water safety. Parents will walk away with a huge understanding of how their actions effect drowning prevention and water safety. |

County Commissioner Open Office Hours

AspenCat Class

Now that the ICL has switched to AspenCat cataloguing system, we want to make sure our patrons can have their questions answered about how to use it! The AspenCat consortium libraries online catalog gives patrons access to more than 1.3 million items from the collections of 106 member libraries throughout the state. Stop by the ICL on Thursday, August 8th at 5:30 pm to receive instruction on how to use the new AspenCat catalogue and, in particular - how to order materials from other libraries! |
