Makerspace/IDEA Lab

Opened in 2018, the ICL’s Makerspace/Idea Lab is a place where patrons can access free tools to pursue their own projects. To teach them how to use those tools, library staff use a nontraditional, project-based learning approach in which hands-on projects introduce academic concepts.

Drop-in hours for the Makerspace/IDEA Lab are Wednesday afternoons after 3 pm and on the weekends after 11 am.

Anyone wanting to work on projects or learn programming/design skills are also encouraged to call the library at 970-563-9287 and make an appointment with Ron Schermacher.
