We are partnering with the Early Childhood Council of La Plata County to bring you 6 free Play & Learn workshops geared toward helping pre-school aged children prepare for kindergarten. Sessions include songs, stories and hands-on learning activities that support growth in early literacy, math, motor and social emotional skills; as well as free packets of resources and activities they can engage in with children at home.
Parents and caregivers are invited to attend with their preschool age children (3-5 yrs old); Younger siblings may also attend but materials are not provided for them.
Workshops are every second Wednesday of the Month at 9:15 am, January - June starting Wednesday, January 8th , 2020.

Darrin Parmenter, the County Extension Director Horticulture Agent at the LaPlata CSU Extntion Office will help ICL patrons find the right growing medium, choose the right container for Indoor sowing, advise on how much light and water seeds need, and provide steps to raising or purchasing plants.
